About Me

I am an AI and engineering leader with over two decades of experience building and shipping production-grade systems across Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Adobe, Salesforce, and Microsoft — across search, recommendations, document AI, marketing measurement, and generative AI. I have shipped systems that moved revenue by nine figures and watched enterprise AI fail in ways that had nothing to do with the technology.

My work is grounded in first-principles thinking. I care about reliability, evaluation, and measurable outcomes — not process, presentation, or the performance of expertise.

Outside of work, I train in martial arts and write — poetry, essays, and creative pieces. I am drawn to how humans think and interact, how cultures shape each other, and how geopolitics quietly determines the texture of ordinary life. I believe advanced AI will eventually help human civilization transcend its own limitations — not by replacing human consciousness but by reflecting it clearly enough to accelerate its evolution toward what Sri Aurobindo called integral self-transcendence: knowledge, power, harmony and skill unified in service rather than domination. The personal dimension of that journey is something I have written about at length — see Understanding Karma Yoga — on human performance and the Bhagavad Gita, the ancient Sanskrit philosophical dialogue on action, duty, and the architecture of the mind under pressure, and what its teachings reveal about how human beings transform. I also believe AI has much to learn from the introspective traditions of Eastern philosophy — ideas that remain far less explored than they deserve. See What an Ancient Mahayana Text Can Teach Us About the Nature of AI.

On SmartInfer, I write first-principles analysis of AI technology, strategy, and organizational incentives — the distance between how the stack is described and how it actually works. On Forgotten Bose, I write about Bengal, India, and the ideas that official narratives forgot: politics, AI sovereignty, and literary memory, written without allegiance.
